Four Trent Parke prints in the Monash Gallery of Art collection

Trent Parke (Australia 1971) is an Adelaide-based photographer who was born and raised in Newcastle, NSW. He often collaborates, or works in parallel with his wife, Narelle Autio. He is a self-taught photographer who developed his skills as a photojournalist with a special interest in sports photography. In 2008 Parke became the first Australian to become a Full Member of the Magnum Photo Agency. Since the late 1990s Parke has moved away from conventional photojournalism, and developed an artistic profile for his practice by exhibiting his work in galleries and producing photobooks.
